Happy Birthday Corinne!

Today our little bird turns 2 and in some ways, time has gone super fast. In other ways, there are moments when life had slowed down long enough to bask in the pure emotion of the moment. Our little baby is really not a baby any more, which leaves me with a mixture of awe and joy and sadness. To say Cori is loved though would be a huge under-statement!On Saturday we had a small family party to celebrate. While the weather was less than cooperative, we had a good time with lots of balloons, cake and presents, and lots of smiles and love! Cori woke up that day with a low grade fever and napped over 3 hrs that day before the party. Thankfully she seemed to rebound a bit right before the gathering.

I love that you can see the natural curls in the back of her hair in the above shot! They only come out when it's humid or after bath time.

Cori loved being sung to, and she was much more interested in opening gifts this year. After she tore into each gift, she'd proclaim "Open!" and she wanted to play with it.
Sadly we had to shuffle her back to another gift time and time again, much to her disappointment. She really wanted to play!

"You mean I can't play with this right now either?!
Not cool, Mom - not cool!"

Though Cori had a rough evening and night with another bad fever, she seems to be slowly on the mend. We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow to check her stats and make sure this isn't something beyond a virus running its course. Special thanks to everyone for the birthday cards & wishes for our little girl! She sure is loved, but most of all, by Mama & Dada! We love you baby!
